Superheroes Unite! Ladybug and Cat Noir Join Forces with Volkswagen
Volkswagen is partnering with ZAG and Mediawan Kids & Family to produce an animated family movie called “Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir, The Movie.” This partnership is part of Volkswagen’s global e-strategy and will feature the characters using different fully electric cars from the Volkswagen ID.Family.

“Miraculous: Ladybug & Cat Noir – The Movie” will play in over 100 markets worldwide! The “Miraculous” series has become a global family pop culture phenomenon over the past few years, reaching over 130 countries and accumulating a whopping 33 billion views on YouTube. It’s no wonder the show has ranked number one in many countries! The first-ever “Miraculous” movie will premiere in theaters worldwide on July 5th, 2023, and will be available for streaming on Netflix starting on July 28th, 2023.
Heros Go Electric
The latest blockbuster will innovatively feature electric vehicles! The VW designers of the ID family worked closely with the movie animation team and the automaker’s marketing team to ensure the cars fit perfectly into the movie’s look and feel. We’re excited to see how they integrate two futuristic city cars into the storyline, with Cat Noir driving the ID.4 and Ladybug empowering women in her concept car, the electric Beetle—the luxury ID.Vizzon will be associated with the successful stylist Gabriel Agreste and even the iconic Volkswagen ID.Buzz will impact the big screen as Tom’s bakery delivery vehicle!
The Impact of E-Mobility on the Big Screen
It’s great to witness the German automaker leading toward electric mobility. VW’s commitment to the Paris Climate goals in 2016 proves the automaker is a pioneer in continuing sustainability with a climate-neutral plan by 2050. However, there’s more to look forward to, like the launch of ten new all-electric models by 2026, including the ID.3, ID.7, and ID. Buzz. It’s also fantastic to see animated action heroes promoting electric mobility in the Miraculous Universe movie. Not only does it align with the values of ecology and sustainability, but it’s also in line with Volkswagen’s “Way to Zero” initiative.
