Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has recently introduced an exciting new accessory package for the T7 VW Multivan, a stylish ICE-powered minivan not available for sale in the U.S. The “Good Night” package is designed specifically for adventurers and camping enthusiasts who desire the comfort of a camper van without spending a fortune.

Adventure Awaits with Two Package Options

This package is available in the ‘basic’ and’ complete’ versions. The ‘basic’ version includes a fold-out bed, intelligent storage solutions for the curtains, blackout window shades (even for the panoramic sunroof!), and ventilation grilles for the front side windows. If electric bus fans opt for the complete package, it reveals a pair of nifty folding chairs and a camping table. It’s perfect for any outdoor adventure!

Custom Comfort for the Multivan

The fold-out bed, explicitly designed for the Multivan, measures 79.5 inches and 47.6 inches wide, providing enough space for two adults to sleep comfortably. The mattress is placed on a slatted frame that attaches to the vehicle body, not the seats, making it easy to fit in the rear by folding or removing the seats. Volkswagen has cleverly used the space under the bed for maximum storage, making the Multivan even more practical. Whether going on a weekend camping trip, to a music festival or hitting the surf, this package has plenty of room for gear, including a surfboard. It might not be as luxurious as a Mercedes camper van, but it has its cool factor.

Practical and Fun Features

The curtains quickly attach to the windows with built-in magnets or plastic tabs, ensuring no one can peek into the cozy mobile home. If ID.Buzz enthusiasts have a panoramic sunroof and can sleep under the stars or cover it for privacy. When the adventure is over, the bed easily folds away and can be stowed behind the second row or above the third row of seats when folded flat. If VW ID.Buzz enthusiasts need all the seats, no problem— fans can remove the bed entirely.

Affordable and Ready for Action

The Good Night package costs €2,867.90 ($3,086) for the basic version or €3,355.80 ($3,611) for the complete package with the fold-out table and chairs. It’s available for all Multivan variants, regardless of the trim or seating configuration. Hopefully, Volkswagen will offer a similar option for the ID.Buzz when it arrives at U.S. dealerships later this year (2024).
