Unleashing the 2025 Volkswagen ID.Buzz
Volkswagen has announced the lineup for the 2025 ID.Buzz in the United States, which will include three trims: Pro S, Pro S Plus, and the 1st Edition, available only at launch. The 2025 ID.Buzz will be available in rear-wheel-drive (RWD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) configurations. The RWD model boasts 282 horsepower, and the AWD variant features 335 horsepower, both powered by a 91 kWh battery. Volkswagen will release more details regarding the range, and pricing for each trim will be revealed closer to their launch dates.
The ID.Buzz Pro S model will only have RWD and offer bench seating for up to seven passengers. On the other hand, the Pro S Plus and 1st Edition models will offer RWD and AWD options. The RWD 1st Edition will exclusively offer bench seating, while the Pro S Plus will come standard with bench seats for its RWD version, with an option to upgrade to a captain’s chair package accommodating six seats. The captain’s chair package is included as standard for the AWD models of the Pro S Plus and 1st Edition.
Last year, Volkswagen introduced the ID.Buzz to the North American market, adjusting the wheelbase to suit regional preferences, resulting in a spacious 2,469 liters of storage space. Additionally, enhancements such as a new heat pump aim to improve efficiency during colder climates. After its North American debut, Volkswagen has advised dealers against price markups, emphasizing fair pricing to ensure consumer satisfaction and market stability. CEO of Volkswagen of America, Pablo Di Si, has expressed the ongoing efforts to address pricing concerns, acknowledging the importance of finding a balanced solution for consumers and dealers.
