The 2023 model year is approaching quickly and though Volkswagen has chosen to upgrade its current lineup for the year rather than unveil an all-new vehicle, the upgrades are sure to sweeten up all the offerings for buyers. I.Q Drive, a semi-automated driver-assistance system will finally be available on every Volkswagen vehicle in the United States for the first time ever! Another update to look forward to is the Digital Cockpit driver-information array becoming a standard feature across the VW lineup. Volkswagen is shifting its attention to the ID.4 being produced at the Chattanooga factory and giving the Passat the farewell it deserves as its 2022 limited-production run comes to a close. A few other changes are coming to the eight models for the 2023 model year and here is a little bit about what they are and what they will include.

2023 Volkswagen Vehicle Updates:
The 2023 Arteon will add equipment to the entry-level SE R-line and higher trims will get some aesthetic changes like LED headlights, fog lights, an adaptive lighting system, and a power-operated hatch. The SEL R-line will get the 19-inch rims replaced by 20-inch wheels, and the SEL Premium R-line adds 30-color ambient lighting and black carbon trim.

The 2023 Atlas/Atlas Cross Sport will receive a few minor changes for the 2023 model year that will include the addition of the 10.25-inch Volkswagen Digital Cockpit Pro to the SE with Technology trim. The Atlas will be available in five different trims.

The 2023 Golf GTI will get the pleasure of introducing a limited 40th Anniversary Edition for the 2023 model year! Other 2023 GTI changes will include all of the trims getting the “performance” LED headlights and fog lights with integral active cornering lights. Minor cosmetic changes have also been made to round out some of these changes!

The 2023 Golf R, which was fully redesigned for the 2022 model year, will get the opportunity to feature a 20th Anniversary Edition vehicle for the 2023 model year. Some minor cosmetic alterations are the order of the day when it comes to the 2023 Golf R.

The 2023 ID.4 EV, which is the poster child for this model year, is Volkswagen’s introduction to a new, lower-priced entry-level version of the battery-electric crossover. It will be equipt with a 62-kWh battery pack as opposed to the 82-kWh battery pack within the 2022 ID.4 as production moves into the Chattanooga factory for the U.S market.

The 2023 Jetta/Jetta GLI will add remote engine start to the midline SE trim and will receive minor cosmetic updates for the entirety of the 2023 lineup. The standard Jetta model offers four trims (the S, Sport, SE, and SEL), while the GLI will be available in one single trim (Autobahn).

The 2023 Taos, which was an all-new small crossover introduced for the 2022 model year, will receive additional content for each trim level for 2023. It will add forward-collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic warning to the standard array of safety features across the lineup. I.Q Drive will be standard on the SE trim, the S 4Motion trim will have its 17-inch wheels replaced by 18-inch wheels, and the SEL will receive a standard panoramic sunroof.

The 2023 Tiguan was completely refreshed for the 2022 model year, so the changes coming for the 2023 model year are a little less grand. It will be available in four trims: the S, SE, SE R-line, and the SE R-line Black; with the SE R-line Blacl adding a brand new set of 19-inch alloy wheels.
