ID 2all EV

Volkswagen recently unveiled the ID 2all concept, an electric car priced below $27,000 (plus destination fee). The vehicle is based on the new MEB Entry platform and boasts up to 280 miles WLTP range, equipped with efficient drive, battery, and charging technology. Volkswagen has also announced that the ID 2all will be the first MEB vehicle with FWD as it expands the platform’s usage.

According to Andreas Mindt, VW Passenger Cars head designer, the entry-level EV “gives a preview of the new design language of Volkswagen.” A notable change in this car is the C-pillar design, which was initially developed for the first Golf. Volkswagen claims that the ID 2all will be as spacious as a Golf and as affordable as a Polo.

The car’s interior features modern infotainment with separate volume controls and a “generous” storage volume of about 17.3-47 cubic feet. Recently, VW shared new images previewing the interior of the upcoming affordable EV. VW’s head designer claims, “The future of Volkswagen interiors has arrived in the ID 2all concept car.”

The spacious back with extra storage volume under the floorboard is visible to consumers. The car also has seats that can fold flat to create additional space for longer items or more storage. The new images show an updated design of the ID 2all’s 12-inch infotainment display and 11-inch screens. VW aims to bring back physical buttons, and the new images show included buttons for air and heat. One of the most exciting features is the new rotary knob that enables you to switch driving modes. By turning the knob, you can switch driving modes, including “Classic” and “Vintage.” Classic is from the Beetle era, while Vintage mode is from the Golf era.

The ID 2all is one of 10 new VW electric cars to be launched by 2026. Volkswagen aims to become the world’s largest EV maker by 2025, and it is making significant investments in EV production and infrastructure. The carmaker is also targeting the sale of around 1.5 million electric cars by 2025.
