Drivers can now enjoy the comfort of a heated steering wheel with a paddle shift, ventilated front seats, and a height-adjustable passenger seat. All of these are now standard equipment. The 2024 model has quilted leather seats and a diamond pattern to enhance the interior further. Exterior changes for the 2024 model year include a new front-end design and more significant differences between these two big models. Both vehicles feature a wide four-bar chrome grille surrounded by LED headlights with the new standard adaptive front lighting system. Both models also feature a large spoiler that rounds out the rear, a more extended roofline, and a slimmer profile.

New Technology and Power

The new engine delivers performance on par with the previous VR6, with even better fuel economy. Both vehicles are powered by 4-cylinder turbocharged direct-injection TSI engines producing 269 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque for 2024. The all-wheel drive Volkswagen 4Motion is available for the entire model range. These two new models deliver improvements and technological advancements for a more connected experience. This is reflected in a floating 12-inch screen, a stylish focal point in the redesigned cockpit. Drivers of all levels of equipment benefit from Volkswagen Digital. The 10.25-inch Cockpit Pro is fully configurable. Six USB-C ports with standard wireless App-Connect, wireless charging, and 45-watt fast charging make it easier than ever to get connected. And speaking of technology, it’s the ability to control climate with your voice.

Volkswagen has said the 2024 Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport will go on sale in the third quarter of 2023, but prices have yet to be announced. Expect the base price to be slightly higher to account for upgrades. The list of improvements for 2024 continues.
