The Next-Gen Volkswagen Tiguan Will Go Where No Tiguan Has Gone Before
The future Volkswagen Tiguan will receive a complete redesign and several advanced tech features. VW has announced that the new model will include an active suspension system initially introduced in the current GTI. This system manages the electronic differential locks as well as the lateral dynamic components of the shock absorbers to enhance the vehicle’s handling capabilities. Overall, the forthcoming Volkswagen SUV will provide better comfort and performance.
Electric Only Range in Store for the Volkswagen TiguanÂ
The German automaker revealed the exciting news of a new suspension and a fresh plug-in hybrid model. The Tiguan hybrid boasts an impressive capability of traveling up to 62 miles solely on electric power. Volkswagen has also guaranteed that the forthcoming generation will include improved AC charging rates and standard DC fast charging.
New photos of a VW SUV were released, but the vehicle is heavily camouflaged. Despite this, it is clear that the body lines are smoother than before. The pictures are of the short-wheelbase model, which may only be sold in Europe. In the United States, customers will probably have access to the long-wheelbase version. The Tiguan, produced soon, will use the MQB Evo platform, which is used for the Mk 8 Golf and Mk 4 Audi A3.
Inside the Tiguan, the cabin is as modern as its exterior. The vehicle’s dashboard has a big 15-inch infotainment display that can be added as an option. Positioned horizontally at the center, it follows the ID models of Volkswagen. The gear selector has been moved to the steering column. In its place, a Driving Experience Control dial has been added to the center console. The VW SUV holds a screen that enthusiasts can utilize to adjust the driving mode, radio volume, and ambient lighting hues.
VW has yet to release detailed specifications for the new Tiguan, but the Atlas maker stated that it is roughly one inch longer than the previous model. The added size is expected to provide an additional cubic foot of storage space behind the rear seats. Tiguan enthusiasts anticipate that the German automaker will release more details on pricing and specifications for the upcoming car, which will be disclosed closer to its debut in Fall 2023. The release of the new Tiguan is scheduled for next year (2024) and is expected to hit the market as a 2025 model.
