New Accessories Available for the All-new Golf GTI
Volkswagen is introducing a new lineup of accessories for the all-new Golf GTI. A longtime favorite of Volkswagen enthusiasts, the latest generation Golf GTI is available now and benefits from numerous styling options.
“The GTI is our most storied enthusiast vehicle. Its owners have a history of dialing the car in to match their personality and lifestyle, and we are proud to offer a catalog of dynamic options to help them do so,” said Hein Schager, Senior Vice President of Product Marketing and Strategy at Volkswagen of America.
Continuing its collaboration with Oettinger Sports Systems GmbH, Volkswagen now offers plenty of customized body elements for the new Golf GTI, including front and rear lip valances and even a roof edge spoiler. These components can be painted and subsequently installed either by Volkswagen dealerships or independent body shops. Additionally, Volkswagen also made enhancements possible to the model’s exterior styling thanks to LED Dynamic Turn Signals from Osram. Although they darken when not in use, these LED Dynamic Turn Signals mode in a fluid motion, starting at the inner mirror housing to the outside edge. Given that no special coding is required, these turn signals can be installed by Volkswagen dealerships.
Additionally, Volkswagen will also offer Dynamic Wheel Center Caps with model-specific logos in early 2022. This feature allows the GTI or R logo to self-level and remain upright even when the vehicle’s wheels and tires are in motion. Volkswagen also offers a full suite of accessories and features that add not only to the vehicle’s protection, but also general convenience. Rubber MuddyBuddy, as well as carpeted Monster Mats, both work to protect the vehicle’s floors, while Bumperdillo guards the rear bumper during loading and unloading (available late spring 2022). Additional options include an impressive frameless, auto-dimming rearview mirror that’s compatible with HomeLink Connect.
The Golf embodies a classic formula: part style, power, refinement, and playful performance. 2022 marks the last year of production for this current Golf GTI generation and features new technology and ample design cues that extend its tradition of affordable performance, first established in 1983. Entry-level Golf GTI S with a standard six-speed transmission has a starting MSRP of $28,695 (plus $995 destination fee), while the model with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission with Tiptronic starts at $29,495 (plus $995 destination fee).
