More Information About the European 2023 Volkswagen ID.Buzz

On a superficial level, the Volkswagen ID.Buzz can be categorized into the current catalog of minivans within the U.S market. This categorization is because of its three-row seating, power sliding doors, and copious amounts of cupholders it provides. Its uniqueness, however, is in the fact that it is also an electric vehicle with rear-wheel drive so it also fits well within the electric vehicle category. When buyers step into the ID.Buzz, they are transported into a completely different environment that no one could’ve been prepared for. It’s a combination of being in the perfect vacation RV while also having the space to be in an office of one’s very own.
When it comes to mechanics, the ID.Buzz closely resembles the ID.4 SUV. It offers buyers one singular motor that punches out 201 horsepower with 229 lb-ft of torque. This motor comes paired with a 77.0-kWh battery that is capable of delivering 263 miles of range (which is about 220 miles in the United States). It is capable of sprinting from 0-60mph in 10.2 seconds, and that’s with the two-row Buzz weighing 5,448 lbs. The ID.Buzz will also be delivered in a carbon-neutral manner along with some of the materials used for its interior being recycled.
Something else that is very unique within the ID.Buzz lies between the front seats. It is known as the Buzz Box center console and offers a bottle opener along with an ice scraper (the box itself is actually removable as well). The infotainment controls are easy to use, featuring controls that are modernized Volkswagen items such as capacitive touch sliders as opposed to a lot of buttons. The Buzz will also uniquely have an automated parking system that can memorize how to park in certain places that can either be manually activated (once it has learned the movements) or automatically offer its aid when the GPS says it’s ready. An LED light bar lies across the bottom of the Buzz’s windshield that will become animated by flashing red when a driver needs to brake or signal upcoming turns through the navigation system.
Right now, the U.S version of the Buzz hasn’t been covered just yet, but here is what is known so far: It will be 10.6 inches longer than the European version. It will also feature three rows of seats to help accommodate more passengers. The targeted debut will be some time in 2024 as of now. For now, enthusiasts can see what the European VW ID.Buzz will be like and gauge just how its U.S version can potentially be like.
