A Look Inside the Goodie Bag That is the All-New 2022 Arteon
When Volkswagen comes to mind, there are so many vehicles that come to mind. The automaker is unsurpassed with its knowledge of vigorous hatchbacks to vivacious SUVs. Even with an all-electric future on the horizon, the transition of an electric Volkswagen seems more than favorable. But the harsh reality is the sedan division has plummeted in sales due to the affordability of SUVs. However, it is clear that Volkswagen has a different vision in mind, and the latest version of the Arteon is looking to change all of that. The all-new 2022 Arteon provides a unique style frame and forward-thinking technology that will surely leave the competitors stuck in Park.    Â
An Exterior Ahead of its TimeÂ
The previous model, the 2021 Arteon, received a facelift that received global recognition. The 2022 variation will follow suit to the previous model as far as design. The base model, R-Line, is the standard for all trims of the magnificent.Â
The sedan’s front features an LED headlight set-up alongside an entire LED light strip surrounding the Volkswagen logo. Demanding attention is the chrome grille design, enhancing the aesthetic appeal alongside the optional Dark-finished 20-inch wheels. But wait until you see it from the back, the rear of the vehicle is equally majestic, and the dual exhaust only heightens the immaculately designed Arteon.    Â
Features for Days Let’s Look InsideÂ
Like Nutella and peanut butter, spaciousness and technology go hand in hand in the interior of the Arteon. There’s ample cabin space even for five passengers. The standard features like the Digital Cockpit are super easy to use. Other features include but are not limited to the 8-Inch Discover Media touchscreen by MIB3 entertainment system and also a tri-zone climate control system. Â
The Arteon is decorated fiercely with leather throughout the cabin. The quality sedan even has a panoramic sunroof which makes for some very cozy star gazing. The windshield is comprehensive, and the A-pillars are thinly emphasizing a profound view of the road ahead.Â
The Subtleties of Profound PerformanceÂ
The Arteon was overdue for an update, so there’s been a few changes. The first update being the 2.0-liter unit sporting an in-line four-cylinder configuration, boosting the horsepower 268 in the previous model to 300-horsepower. The transmission also received an update, shifting to a 7-speed dual-clutch from the last 8-speed automatic transmission.Â
Safety FeaturesÂ
Volkswagen never messes around with its safety features. The new Arteons safety features include a rear-view camera, stability and traction control, pre and post-collision warning, and a blindspot warning control system. The standard trim comes equipped with front and rear parking sensors as well.Â
PricingÂ
Just like the subtleties of the Arteon interior and performance, pricing will also receive a subtle jump. The basic trim, the SER, will come from $38,190 to $41,190, which does not include destination fees. Pricing for the premium midsize sedan has yet to be officially declared, but the minor upcharge seems feasible for alterations in the design and enhanced performance. Many consumers may consider the sedan segment a dying vehicle, but the new 2022 Arteon will impact and rejuvenate how the world observes midsize sedans.Â
